The second of the District Tartans designed and registered by David McGill in 1997. The work on the composition and colours in this tartan was undertaken in collaboration with the Scout Association across North and South Lanarkshire. The colours were chosen by young people to depict the natural heritage and landscape of the regions; green being most prominent in homage to the rolling hills, blue the beloved colour of Scotland. 

PLEASE NOTE: Our Lanarkshire tartan has been woven in a lightweight, creating a much finer cloth most suited to shawls and other flowing garments. Please order a sample for reference.
